Since when is self protection from other people's germs an "attitude?" If I have a chance to save my own blood for my future use, I would do it. Totally clean blood is impossible to obtain. There is a risk that, if I can, I would prefer to avoid. If it is not possible to save my own blood in time, then yes, I would take someone else's. Otherwise, I would rather be safe and really know the doner before I take that person's blood.

Do you condemn the Society's no-blood policy and still do not DONATE BLOOD?
by nicolaou init's your decision to make.
it would be as wrong of this community to insist everyone donate blood as it is of the cult to insist otherwise.

Were You Approachable in the Congregation?
by compound complex ingreetings, friends:.
did you - with or without holding an official position in the congregation - find that those needing to talk gravitated toward you?
did those individuals who unburdened themselves feel better after talking with you?

I'm not sure if this is for the "sisters" but I made sure that I was approachable by approaching people who looked lonely, like the elderly and infirm sitting all alone in the back of the hall. I felt so sorry for them being alone in the crowd. Not many went up to them to see how they were doing. It was kind of sad. No one ever confided in me, though.

Childhood fears
by beksbks ini'm sure this has been asked, but is there anything that you were horribly afraid of as a child, that you most likely have gotten over since?.
i was just watching x-files, and there was a spontaneous human combustion scene.
that was one of my big fears as a kid once i heard of it.

Yeah, Stephen King has nothing compared to the WTS. Their teachings are a lot scarier.

We have to stay home more than we used to and to think before driving anywhere we might not really need to go, like to the library or somewhere else just to get out of the house.

A jw/Bridezilla
by RisingEagle ini have an extremely active jw relative that manages to 'break' her computer at least twice a week and asks me to fix whatever problem she has caused.
it's so bad sometimes that i would not be suprised to go to her home and find whiteout on the monitor screen.
so today i am undoing a simple problem with her e-mail when i see, "xx and yy's wedding pics".

Mom took over the wedding completely. Traditional wedding that I didn't want. Aunt's dress that I hated. It was awful. I felt like a freak. No, not bridezilla, that would be bride's maidzilla for my sister.

Is BLOOD therapy really a sin?
by Fisherman inis blood therapy a sin?
if a blood transfusion could save a person's life, would god want such person to die instead of receivng the blood?
on the other hand, heart, livers, kidney transplants are ok. but then again, blood transfusions may be sinful?

Sin is a device used by religion to gain control over people and to make a lot of money off of them. I don't believe in sin since it is most likely a manmade idea. Sin is used to abuse people.
